The idea for honoring veterans with these paintings started over 25 years ago when Ray was working to create a piece for the WWII commission. Ray drew inspiration from his father who was a Veteran of WWII and a member of the 101st airborne.

The painting was completed, the story of the heroes of WWII were laid out on the canvas. The one thing missing was the inspiration of it all, an image of his father. Ray had a print and using a penknife carved out an oval and slipped his fathers military photo behind it. The painting finally complete.

Today Ray has done paintings for the branches of the military, many of the military conflicts and so much more. You can add a photo of your hero to any of the paintings below to honor them and their service.
